House of GAIA was created from the way I was raised. In a home full of strong, soft, resilient women, that guided my sisters and I by their quiet strength and the continued encouragement and support from my mom and dad, and the love of my aunts and gran. I grew up in a family of girls, and everything about our childhood taught me what it means to be cared for, protected, and encouraged to become the best version of ourselves.
At the same time, I watched my parents build Mangwanani African Spa from the ground up. A business rooted in healing, community, dignity, and the belief that women deserve spaces that make them feel safe, valued, and restored. That legacy shaped me long before I knew I would one day create something of my own.
House of GAIA is my way of carrying that forward.
It is inspired by the women who raised me, the sisters who grew alongside me, and the lessons I learned from watching my family create something meaningful. My life has been surrounded by women who loved deeply, worked fearlessly, and supported each other endlessly and I want to bring that same feeling to every woman who finds her way here.
This isn’t just a business.
It’s the continuation of a legacy of care, strength, and womanhood.
A place built by a daughter, inspired by the women who shaped her, and created for women everywhere who are ready to grow, heal, and rise, together.
House of GAIA didn’t begin as a company, it began as a feeling.
Back in 2021, I launched my first small project, GAIA Active21. At the time, it was just an idea, a movement I created from home during the rise of covid19: simple activewear, a small community of girls who supported each other, and a dream to build something meaningful for women.
I didn’t have a full plan yet. I just had the desire to create a space where women could feel confident, inspired, and connected, the same way I always felt growing up surrounded by strong women in my family. GAIA Active21 was my first step, my experiment, and the seed that would eventually grow into something much bigger. I learnt a lot, grew a lot, and as I face the beginning of 2026, I believe I am more equipped to bring our larger vision to life.
Today, that early spark has evolved into House of GAIA. A full ecosystem designed to support women in every part of their growth. What began as activewear is now expanding into education, wellness, community, digital programs, real support, and spaces where women can truly reset and rise.
